Legal position for booking a hotel room / apartment:

  1. If a hotel room is booked by phone, fax or mail a guest reception contract is originated.
  2. The guest reception contract have commitments for both sides:
    • The hotelier has to hold the room as it is booked.
    • The guest has to pay the price to the period ofthe stay.
  3. If a guest does not arrive he is committed to pay the accomplishment of the hotel. It does no matter what the reason for his absence is. The hotelier can only charge the actually costs.
  4. According to experience the sayings for a no show are 20% of the room rate.
  5. The hotelier has in order of trust to do his best to sell rooms they had been cancelled to someone else.
  6. If it was not possible to sell the room to someone else the guest has to pay the bill as in article 4 calculated.
  7. Hotelrooms are obtainable at 2 pm at the arriving day and have to be left till 11am at the departure day.
  8. The guest has to check in at least at 6 pm. If he does not arrive till 6 pm the hotelier can take use of the room for someone else expect there is no other agreement.
  9. You have to take care of our belongings.
  10. Exclusive Jurisdiction is Munich.
